Sweden, we have a result. All 12 finalists is ready for the final next week. This is what I think and what I believe. I'm not insulting anyone and I accept if you disagree with my opinions. I'm gonna review them accoriding to their startnumber

 

1. Ace WIlder - WIldchild

Ace is Ace and that's great. She has her own style and she is always putting on a great show. I think that the chours in this song is amazing but unforturnatley it loses something when the verse is coming. I really like this performance though, that it's expolding in the end.

Chances in ESC: 4/5 - Eurovision requiers something new and something that will challenge the audience which I think this one does. But I'm not so sure that the song is strong enough. Everything else is though and I'm very sure that she can deliver a great vocal performance.

 

 

2. Boris René -Her Kiss

I just can't do anythign then smile and dance when I hear this. He is a true entertainer and no matter which place he will end - I think he has become a Melodifestivalen - legend now.

Performance: 5/5

Chances in ESC: 3/5 - Sending this would either make us flop or it would bring us a big surprise I think. It would be something different and one thing is clear,  he will put Europe in a good mood no matter what the results are. 

 

3. Lisa Ajax -I don't give

Lisa is a fenomenal vocalist, that's for sure. My only problem is that I lose interest in the song after a while. It comes out as pretty repetitive. It could be a lot better than it is but it could also be a lot worse.

Chances in ESC: 3/5 - I have no idea how Europe would take this. We would possibly qualify but in The Grand Final we could finish top 5 but also under Top 10. 

 

 

4. Robin Bengtsson - I can't go on

There is nothing I dislike about this. Robin is just so amazing. I don't know what else to say, I just love this haha.

Performance: 5/5

Chances in ESC: 4/5 - I don't think this one will give us the victory but on the other hand, I think that's okay because I think another country deserves to win. But, I'm pretty sure that we can reach a top 10 spot pretty easliy as it is quite unique and it stands out amongst all the ballads of this year. Robin wouldn't disappoint us with the vocals either I'm pretty sure. 

 

5. John Henrik feat. Aninia- En värld full av strider

This is powerful in many different ways and I understand why so many love this. I really do. But it's just not my thing.

Performance: 4/5

Chances in ESC: To be comepltely honest, we can win with this but we can also be last and not qualify. This is our biggest risk among all the finalists if you ask me. Also, I'm not very sure about Aninia's vocals. And good vocals is key to recieve a good result.

 

6. Anton Hagman - Kiss you goodbye

Anton is oh so charming and the song is a modern popsong. I can't dislike this one. I just can't. And he is proving that you don't need a spectacular performance, sometimes it's just enough to keep it simple

Chances in ESC: 2/5 Unfortunatley I think this wouldn't do well in ESC. I don't think we would qualify with this. It's a modern version of Anna Bergendhal's This is my life. Not even Anton's charm would save him, I'm afraid. 

 

7. Mariette - A Million Years

I can't get hold of this song. For me, it just sounds like things I have heard before and I expected more from Mariette. I can't deny it though, that Mariette is amazing in herself and the staging is pretty cool

8. FO&O - Gotta thing about you

I have confession to make. I have become a Fooer. These guys are amazing. They know what they are doing and they are already professionals. They belongs to the youngest participants in the final but yet the most talented.

Chances in ESC: 4/5, boybands doesnt do well in ESC but they are famous and very talented so I would guess that we could end at a place between 6-12 if we sent this - which in my opinion is a good position.

 

9. Nano - Hold On

To be honest I just find this one boring and I just don't personally like it. I have started to accept that it could win though. Which means I won't be mad anymore haha.

Performance: 3/5

Chances in ESC: 4/5 - I don't think this is our safest card but I said the same thing about Frans who ended up in 5th place so nothing is sure. 

 

10. Wiktoria - As I lay me down

She has become one of my favorite Swedish artists. I love this song and the lyrics to it as well as the perfomance.

Song: 5/5

Performance: 4/5

Chances in ESC: 4/5 - I don't think we have chances to reach the top 3 with her but I think a top 10 spot is really possible. 

 

11. Benjamin Ingrosso - Good Lovin'

It's not that bad but just not my thing and I'm still not very fond of his voice.

Performance: 3/5

Chances in ESC: 3/5 - He needs to improve his vocals but if he does - I think we would end somewhere in the middle with this one. I think it's not Eurovisionmaterial but it's a bit catchy. 

 

This just makes me laugh. It's not Melfest without a song like this, I'm just not so sure how I feel about having this in the final. But go Owe! He's 88 and he can still do this, which is acutally rather impressive.

Chances in ESC: 1/5 - I think we can all agree on one thing - Sending this would make us miss the final by far.
